Chengdu Tianfu International Airport

Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the largest civil transport airport planned and constructed during my country's 13th Five-Year Plan period. The current phase of construction includes three runways (two vertical and one horizontal), a 710,000-square-meter terminal building, and corresponding supporting facilities, capable of handling 60 million passengers and 1.3 million tons of cargo annually. A Highly Efficient Integrated Transportation System with "Zero-Distance Transfers" Tianfu International Airport is an airport with high efficiency on both the air and land sides. Multiple modes of transportation operate efficiently and in a combined manner within the airport, truly achieving a seamless travel experience with zero-distance transfers.

Flexibility and Resilience for the Future Tianfu International Airport is designed with a domestic and international gate interchange area, allowing for easy handling of uncertainties in future development. Furthermore, an underground automated people mover (APM) system has been planned and reserved. The APM operation takes only one minute from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, serving both air and land-side passengers.
